We have officially joined the WRLS computer system!

This will open the whole library system to you. Not only can you see our catalog, but also browse 35 libraries’ worth of books to find what you want even if it’s not on our limited shelves. You will be able to request books, place holds on items and pick them up at a convenient location. Not that we want you to stray, but you will be able to use all the Winding Rivers Library System libraries with your card.

Changes:

We will be handing out library cards to all patrons in good current standing who do not already have a WRLS library card. The PIN for your card will be the last 4 digits of the card. Once our current program sunsets in September, you will likely need to change your login information for Libby, Kanopy, Udemy, or any other library-sponsored services you use. We apologize for the inconvenience to patrons who do not already have WRLS cards. We hope you find our new services to be worth the adjustment.

If you need a card and haven’t been in for a while, please stop by and get one!

We will have an app! You can download the Winding Rivers app and browse the catalogs. Patrons can also keep track of what you’ve read on the app and use your phone as a card. (It’s really not needed here because we know you.) You can order books outside of library hours and have them dropped off at the library to pick up. If you cannot come to the library during our limited hours, you can have us put them in a locker outside the library to pick up when you’re available to do so. (No more excuses!)

You will be able to order materials from home or wherever you hear of a good title, and have them reserved at the library all free of charge.

Your address will be verified yearly at the library and your card can be renewed on the app or at the library.

We hope you enjoy the upcoming changes/improvements after the big adjustment. It has been a (BIG) wish of mine to link to the WRLS system for years. We finally received a grant through the Department of Public Instruction to make the merger a reality. (Thank you, taxpayers!)

I am really excited for all the changes coming our way as patrons. They demonstrated the app for us and I think you’re really going to enjoy it!
